💰 How to Manage Rent Payments for a Property
The Rent & Payments tab provides a clear view of all income received for a property. It allows you to add, edit, and track payments such as rent, deposits, and other charges with ease.
📋 What You Can Do in the Rent & Payments Tab
- View a complete list of rent payments, deposits, and other income entries.
- Add new rent payments or record deposits.
- Edit existing payment records if corrections are needed.
- See payment details including amount, date, and method (Cash, Card, Transfer, etc.).
📝 Adding a New Rent Payment
- Go to the Rent & Payments tab for the selected property.
- Click the Pay Rent button from the toolbar.
- Fill in payment details:
- Amount – Enter the rent amount paid.
- Date – Select the payment date.
- Payment Method – Choose from Cash, Bank Transfer, Card, etc.
- Description – (Optional) Add a reference or note for the payment.
- Click Save to record the payment.
💳 Adding a Deposit Payment
To record a deposit:
- Click the Pay Deposit button from the toolbar.
- Fill in the details as you would for rent payments.
- The deposit is linked to the active lease for tracking.
💡 Tips
- Always verify that the lease is active before recording payments.
- Use the search and filter tools to quickly locate specific transactions.
- You can send automated receipts to tenants after recording a payment.
