🧾 Billing, Payments & Expense Tracking
💡 Why Billing Matters in Lab Requests
Every laboratory test has a financial cost, and this cost may be paid directly by the patient, their insurance provider, or a sponsoring institution. The Laboratory Information System includes automated billing features so that:
- Costs are attached to tests the moment they are selected
- Payments are tracked alongside the lab workflow
- Expenses related to testing can be captured for internal accounting
- Outstanding balances are flagged and visible
📌 Where Is Billing Managed?
The Bill Tab appears within every Laboratory Request detail page. The Expenses Tab is also available to record operational costs related to the request.
