Transferring a Patient to Another Ward
The Transfer tab moves a patient from one ward to another while keeping the same visit file and care history intact.
🛏 Transfer details
- Destination ward
- Transfer date and time
- Transfer notes explaining the reason
- Optional requested-by or approved-by fields
🔁 What happens during transfer
- The patient disappears from the current ward list
- The patient appears in the receiving ward list
- The patient moves directly to a destination bed if one is assigned
- If no bed is assigned, the patient enters the bed assignment queue
- The previous bed is freed or marked for cleaning
- The transfer is logged in the timeline
💡 Handover quality: Use transfer notes to explain why the patient is moving and what the receiving ward should know immediately.
