Creating a Visit
A visit file is created when a patient arrives for care and needs a structured encounter record.
👤 Two ways to create a visit
🔍 From patient search
Search for the patient and click Add Visit when the patient arrives without a linked appointment.
📅 From an appointment
Convert the appointment into a visit so the reason and description carry over automatically.
✅ What conversion does
When an appointment is converted, the appointment is marked as completed and the visit file becomes the working record for clinical notes, tasks, billing, and follow-up activity.
💡 Before creating: Search carefully first so duplicate patient records are not created.
