Adding Patient Insurance Information
Use this page when a patient has insurance coverage that should be attached to their profile before billing begins.
๐ Information to capture
Record the insurer, reimbursement rate, policy number, policy type, and policy status so billing can apply coverage correctly.
Add the start date, end date, and authorization code when pre-approval is required.
Capture the policy holder name, date of birth, relationship to the patient, and contact number when needed.
Upload insurance cards, authorization letters, or other supporting documents for verification.
๐ณ How it affects billing
Once an active policy is selected for a visit, the system can automatically calculate the insured portion of the bill and the balance payable by the patient. Mark the correct policy as the default if the patient has multiple policies.
