Set appropriate prices for customer groups and create promotions with clear eligibility rules. Price levels support regular arrangements, while promotions handle offers with conditions, dates or codes.
Define the offer before configuring it
Price levels can support retail, wholesale or other customer pricing. Manage Promos provides automatic offers and coupon codes, with options such as percentage or fixed discounts, special prices and buy/get offers. Eligibility can depend on products, categories, services, stores, customer groups, minimum spend or quantity. Dates, usage limits and combination rules help you control when and how the offer applies.
Step by step
Choose price level or promotion
Use a regular price level for an ongoing customer arrangement. Use a promotion for an offer that needs conditions, a validity period or a code.
Set the offer and scope
In Manage Promos, enter the discount or offer type, dates and eligible items or groups. Review minimum spend or quantity requirements.
Review limits and combinations
Set the applicable store, customer group, usage and per-bill limits. Decide whether the offer should combine with other promotions.
Check the checkout result
Review automatic offers or use Apply Promo Code at the POS. Check eligibility messages, discounts and the final bill, then review active or expired offers and usage as needed.
A discount amount is only one part of an offer. Eligibility, dates and combination rules determine who actually receives it.
Before you move on
- Confirm the intended products and customer groups.
- Review minimums, dates and usage limits.
- Check both qualifying and non-qualifying baskets.
