Schedule inspections and recurring service work before equipment fails, then prepare the people, parts, and information needed for each visit.
Preventive maintenance helps your team act before a breakdown. It can cover equipment servicing, cleaning, lubrication, calibration, statutory inspections, safety checks, and planned replacement of wear items.
Schedule maintenance
- Open Schedule, or select the Scheduled tab on the Maintenance page.
- Add a maintenance appointment and choose the relevant customer, facility, or asset.
- Enter the planned date and time, work description, assigned person, and current status.
- For repeating work, create each required service period according to the maintenance plan.
- Save the appointment and confirm it appears in the upcoming schedule.
Prepare for the visit
- Review the asset history, manual, previous findings, and outstanding comments.
- Confirm site access, working hours, permits, and safety requirements.
- Check that required parts, tools, and consumables are available.
- Assign the correct staff member or contractor.
- Notify the customer when service affects access or operations.
After the work
Update the status, record findings, add photographs or reports, and create follow-up work where a defect is discovered. If the next service date is known, schedule it while the current visit information is still fresh.
Why schedule: Consistent preventive work reduces missed servicing, improves compliance, extends asset life, and makes labour and inventory demand easier to plan.
